Q:
What can one person do against global climate change?
A:
Invest in solar energy!
But…
1) I’m not rich!
2) I’m not a homeowner!
3) My house is too shady for
solar power!
Don’t worry! You can still
help increase solar power and
decrease fossil fuel consumption by joining the
Citizens Energy Cooperative of
at
(Accessible via Metrobus # 50 from the West Transfer Point)
There will be great food,
live music, interesting people and a chance to learn all the details about the
savings you can reap, the tax incentives waiting for you, and the Focus on
Energy rebates that are possible if you want to install a solar hot water
system on your home, for hot water or for in floor radiant heating.
And you’ll learn how you can
be a member and investor in the CEC, promoting solar power and creating good
jobs in our area, for a modest amount of money.
There will be a presentation by Camomile Nusz of the CEC, dessert provided by DOERS, Cajun music provided by members of The Cajun Strangers, and 2 door prizes worth $200 each: site assessments for suitability of solar
systems.
