December 2001 Project Report On May 11, 2002, we held an ethnic Afghan dinner with a mouth-watering menu at the Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ, corner of Gilbert Road and Tolman Terrace (south of the Beltline). This was a DOERS fund raiser for the Seeds of Hope Campaign [flyer in PDF], a refugee relief project of the Mennonite Central Committee. Dinner Speaker Doug Hostetter showed slides and talked about his experience in bringing 23 truckloads of supplies through Tajikistan to Afghanistan in Nov. 2001.
